Resource_ article 'What pen did you use?'
For my master thesis, I did a project where I explored using random household items such as cotton sticks, marshmallows, sponge, a pair of socks, coffee cups and cardboard, to do calligraphy and lettering. Since then, I've developed this concept further, such as participating in 36 Days of Type and painting murals.
You can read more about the project and the items I used on my Behance page. I also have an Instagram account dedicated to this: @WhatPenDidYouUse
If you'd like to try it out yourself, check out the article I wrote with tips & tricks on how to do lettering with random items on Medium.

Info_ What does 'epletyv' mean?
“Epletyv” [ep:le tyv] is Norwegian and means “apple thief” — directly translated.
Growing up, my friends and I used to go scrumping for apples in the gardens around my neighbourhood. We learned where the best apples grew and which gardens that had the angriest owners. We had a get-away routine but also a handful of excuses for when that routine failed.
Today I pay for the apples I eat, but the name has stuck with me and is now the name of my brand and online persona.
Stuff_ Workshops
I also host the occasional workshop in brush script calligraphy. During a workshop, we go through all the letters and practice them by writing out words.
Brush script is perfect for place cards, birthday greetings, logos, book covers, tote bag designs, etc. The list goes on. It is also a relatively easy style to learn the basics of, with great potential for improvement with regular practice.
Upcoming workshops
No upcoming workshops planned. Scheduled workshops will be announced here, on my Facebook page and on Instagram.
